I created this blog but have decided to use another blog site. I am going to keep all this private until I am officially invited to serve. I haven't told my work so I can't publicize my blogs just in case someone from work digs this up.

As of now, we don't have an invite and have been told by the PC that we may not know until up to 6 weeks before we leave. So, to prepare we are putting our house on the market for lease on faith that we will receive an invite. So let's hope this doesn't fall through or else I might be homeless and jobless. I just can't believe that the PC operates in this way. It seems to be geared towards college-age people who can just pick up and leave their lives in 6 weeks. For the rest of us, it takes lots of times to get our affairs in order. I have to figure out what to do with my house, clothes, furniture, all my 'stuff', my dog, my car, how to pay my house taxes, set up a will, etc. I just wish they would change their processes so that people are given plenty of time to complete all these tasks. I would think 3 months at a minimum would be acceptable.

Enough of my ranting about this. I will just have to put all my faith into getting an invite and living out this dream of mine.
